Your character encoding probably needs to be switch to latin1. Or utf-8. Or something. :)

I was tearing my hair out on this. Agreed that I would give the global menu thing a good go, but Eclipse just wasn't the same without its menus :)

I'm actually thinking of not having one. There are no actions in the app that I feel are global enough to warrant a button for it being on every screen. I guess you could argue that a button to get to the current location would be sort of in that category, but I'm not sure really. I think I'll finish off the app without it and see if it's something I should add once I can play with the app a bit. My gut feeling is that in this app it would be a bit redundant.

Obviously there would be one if I made a tablet version of the app ;-)
